TIPS ON MAKING THE RIGHT DECISION FOR YOU!
Every bride has their own guest list which can include children! Though we do not have restrictions on guests ages, we do have a “Hold Harmless Release Form” which covers legal drinking age and indecentals such as damages of the salon decor and glassware.
IF CHILDREN ARE IN ATTENDANCE:
The focus of the experience will be age appropriate for children.
1. Activities will be age appropriate for children
2. Champagne toast will be omitted
3. Conversation will be age appropriate for children
AS MAMA’S, WE UNDERSTAND:
We have several mammas on our team so we understand the desire for the special children in our lives and will welcome them with warmth and celebration!
TIME AND PLACE:
Some might say there is a “time and place” for children and adults. Make your decision with confidence and don’t turn back. This will help you to have the fun, low stress and meaningful experience that stands with the Ava’s Brand.
Brides have mentioned in the past that the appointments with children can take the attention off of you, your decision makers, and the overall focus of choosing your dress. Children are precious – they are the natural center of attention and require loving care that takes time.
90 minutes will go quick when taking those much needed breaks for the little ones. 1 adult is required to give full attention to childcare while in the salon for safety and health.
With that said, Brides have mentioned in the past that the appointments would not be the same without their special little one involved! We are ready to support you either way you choose by communicating what to expect either way in how this decision can modify the appointment (if at all).
Every VIP appointment is one-of-a-kind! There would be no way to compare one appointment to another as they are each so special.

Though we do not have restrictions on gender, we do want to communicate prior to the appointment for male guests. There are a few changes we can modify to ensure we don’t miss out on planning!

We love a good surprise! If this happens, your stylist will pivot and may leave out details we may or may not have had time for during the session times based on the group.
We have found three hours goes quickly with a large group. Let your stylist know if anyone is planning a surprise so we can help with unlocking the door.
MEN VS BOYS:
If children are in attendance, we will plan an event that is appropriate for young ears and eyes as mentioned above!

DO MY GUESTS NEED TO CONTACT AVA’S?
If we plan 2 weeks in advance, we prepare a special video to group text the entire guest list after the bride submits her form!
GROUP TEXT VIDEO:
The video will tell them what to expect, show examples of what others have enjoyed and answer FAQ’s. If we missed any questions in the video, guests can comment and ask! We answer all the questions in one helpful link to make it simple for guests to follow.
NEVER HESISTATE TO SHARE OUR NUMBER:
If a guest calls in, they may get redirected to the video by text from our staff. This allows us to ensure we are staying organized with the reservations we receive often for this popular service at Ava’s!

We have a special video you can share with your guests! In the Group Reservation, your stylist will not have a need to contact guests individually, but we are here if you need anything!
The video will explain to guests what to expect and how they can connect to make this day in support of each other! If we missed any questions in the video, let us know. We love improving our service.
NEVER HESISTATE TO SHARE OUR NUMBER:
If a guest calls in, they may get redirected to the bride. This allows us to ensure we are staying organized with the reservations we receive often for this popular service at Ava’s!

BYO ADD ON PACKAGE:
In the GROUP RESERVATION, outside food or beverage is permitted as an add on! See approved list of items. Give all items to your stylist to set up in the Party Room for guests to enjoy after your bridal session. The Party Room is a designated space for food/beverage to be consumed in our venue.
NOT ON APPROVED LIST:
Starbucks, Fast Food, Snacks, Kids Meals… Thank you for your help in keeping our salon sparkling clean for our brides trying on their dresses and ours!

Thank you for making Ava’s your bridal home! We work together to keep our salon clean and organized for future luxury clothing purchases and try ons. Whether you are in a fitting in YOUR dress or OURS, we value a clean experience for the most important dress you will ever purchase.
1ST APPOINTMENT IS GROUP RESERVATION:
When you Say Yes to the Dress in the First Appointment (which is typically the GROUP RESERVATION Appointment), the purchase credit is applied toward the order same day.
2ND APPOINTMENT IS GROUP RESERVATION:
If the GROUP RESERVATION is purchased for a 2nd appointment, the purchase credit applies to the 2nd appointment same day.
WE GET TO KNOW YOU PRIOR TO:
We spend a great amount of time getting to know your style, personality and vision as we plan up to 2 weeks prior! We ask questions in the pre-appointment process to be sure we are on track. Many brides find that their stylist was able to help them find the dress they didn’t even know exsisted after asking pre-appointment questions!
RETURN VISITS:
*Purchase Credit Not valid on SALE or Clearance gowns. Gown must be $1,200 or more to be eligible for the purchase credit. 2nd or 3rd visits do not qualify for special incentives with purchase.
ADD ONS IN THE PARTY ROOM AFTER SHOPPING:
– REFRESHMENTS after bridal session +$50.00
– LOCAL BAKERY CUPCAKES after bridal session +$50.00
– COMBO CUPCAKES & REFRESHMENTS after shopping +$75.00
– BYO OPTION from the approved list of foods/beverages +$25.00
(Gratituity to your stylist for set up and clean up is appreciated but not expected)

SUNDAY:
I would assume there will be other groups in the salon on Sundays. Others will not be in your dressing room/viewing room. When your group goes to the Party Room (if Add on is chosen), we will have no other groups in the Party Room during your session time.

WE GOT YOU, BOO!
If you need to sleep on it, I would ask yourself these questions before you sleep on it. After these 3 questions, you will have everything you need to not miss your moment. Sleeping on it is brilliant – there is no judgement here.
QUESTION 1: IS THIS TRULY MY DRESS?
How would you know, right? It’s not like you do this every day. Here is how you know it’s the dress. When you relax, close your eyes, and allow your brain to quiet as your heart speaks up…
Which dress in in the photo 20 years from now as you are showing your kids?
Which dress is hanging on the wall in your home during a fabulous party you and bae are having when you move to a new home and make new friends who see you in your dress?
QUESTION 2: IS THERE A COST CONCERN (or other) THAT IS AWKWARD TO BRING UP IN PERSON?
If numbers are your thing and could cause stress, I pray you will not allow your guests, your stylist or yourself to shop outside of those numbers. If numbers are flexible and don’t cause stress, try it on! It’s not that you “can’t” afford it, but if your personality is analytical this could be challenging in the long run. You will see that talking privately in a corner of the salon will help tremendously!
QUESTION 3: IS THIS MY MOMENT I WAS HOPING FOR TO SAY YES WITHIN?
This may sound cheesy and you can pass on this if you don’t agree, but I want to share a perspective here. Your guests are here and we all agree you found it! What happens next? For every bride who walks up to the checkout counter and swipes her card, THAT is her yes moment. She obviously gets her Ava’s girl gang rallied up behind her, but it can be so much more.
Schedules get busy and it’s hard to re-create that “magical moment” that was so genuine and true the first time. (Can you imagine if your fiance had to propose to you a 2nd time to stage it – lol. It would still be equally wonderful, but think of how you said yes and never turned back on love.)
Your dress is not a transaction in 2020 my love. It’s much more of the experience and the journey to the yes much like the proposal was. It’s the sudden surprise of it happening and being so happy that it was the perfect experience that cannot be staged or planned.
SAY YES TODAY AND CANCEL TOMORROW:
If you are truly 100% that this is your dress and our crew is here, I would encourage you and your decision makers to make it yours today. If it’s NOT the dress, text me next day and we will get back together to reselect (or continue shopping from our brands).
GET IT IN WRITING:
If you are using any of these ideas here, your stylist will write additional language in your contract prior to leaving. As I have mentioned our terms and conditions online and in the contracts we sign, all sales are final.

“Customer will sleep on the decision tonight and text Sue tomorrow if we need to cancel and order another dress.” (Both of you initial, and done.)
