Absolutely! We gladly welcome outside brides in our alterations department often!
It is common to save your dates with deposit (applied to your alteration bill) weeks or months in advance.
During peak seasons, if we are unable to accept new brides, Sue will refund your deposit and notify you by text/phone call.
As an Ava’s Bride, you have a spot here in our alterations department. We encourage you to plan early for the best bridal experience!

Complexity of the design or detailed style if not an issue at Ava’s. We specialize in Bridal/Formalwear and are very confident in our experience working with top bridal salons in Dallas and Fort Worth who offer high end, couture goods.
We are a great match for brides who appreciate value driven service as well as high end dresses that require attention to detail + expertise!
We specialize in short time frames! Timing is not an issue as long as cost is not a concern.
If cost is a concern, we recommend texting the following to Sue at 573-454-1160 to get started:
1. Photos of the bride in her dress (so we can see the work needed!)
2. Photos of the ideal sleeves you have in mind (you will try on our samples and work with a creative, designer-minded seamstress during your session in person!)
3. Cost concerns, ideal price goal – transparency is the best way to communicate to reach your goals effectively!
We also offer a “Virtual Quote” for brides who prefer a quote prior to meeting in person.
