We love celebrating every one of our brides’ special moments. To think that we get to do this all day everyday is such a dream come true!

Our favorite appointments are the ones that accommodate a bride and all the special people in her life; bridesmaids, bridesmen, sisters, mothers, aunts, and best friends. Brenda’s bridal experience appointment is one that sticks out in our mind for many reasons, mostly because she is one of the sweetest souls that has ever graced our bridal shop. She found the perfect dress that fit her personality and wowed her husband on their wedding day.

THE DRESS

We met Brenda at the Dallas Bridal Show (hosted by Bridal Shows, Inc.), one of our favorite events of the year. She fell in love with the gowns we brought with us that day, just as we fell in love with her! Brenda had two previous bridal appointments at other stores, one being our sister store, Classy Concepts Bridal Boutique, before she landed at Ava’s. Arriving with her entourage of bridesmaids and bridesmen, the group enjoyed our VIP treatment, complete with a private room, sweets bar, champagne, and tons of props to make the most of their photo ops. It was just as amazing for us as it was for her. We popped champagne together, shared stories, and enjoyed every moment of this special time.

The time finally came for Brenda to try on all the gorgeous selections pulled for her at the bridal appointment. Her entourage anxiously awaited the reveal of each gown. They were all pretty and fell within the category she asked for. Debating between a beautiful selection picked for her by her maid of honor and her consultant, she took her time to carefully examine each gown. After deliberation,  Brenda knew that Afton by Maggie Sottero Designs was the dress she would begin the rest of her life in.

We love this dress for Brenda because it is the perfect combination of sass, romance, and sophistication; ringing true to our dear bride’s personality! This fit and flare gown is captivating and mermaid-esq with delicate lace appliques, tulle skirt, sheer off the shoulder sleeves, and sweetheart neckline. The back of the gown plunges into a V, adding a little something extra to leave a lasting impression on all who gaze in her direction. Not to mention, her husband loved it just as much as she did! Winning for everyone!

WEDDING DETAILS

What started out as a first date at Starbucks flourished into a dream union of two people who are very much meant for each other. Brenda and Tyler were married on May 5, 2018 at the White Sparrow Barn. This venue is breathtaking on its own, so the couple chose to scale down the decorations and let its natural beauty and rustic vibe do all the talking. We love that!

Brenda and Tyler were so honored to have family and friends travel from all over (Korea, Mexico, Colorado, New York, & Mississippi) to attend this special day with them. They wanted all the guests to take part in the first step of their marriage journey. Each table had a bundt cake centerpiece for everyone to participate in the cake cutting ceremony alongside Brenda and Tyler. What a special memory!
