Our job is seriously the best ever. Engagement is one of the happiest moments of a lifetime. We get to relish in that moment all day long with our brides and their families! Celebrating this special time with our feature bride, Heather, sticks in our mind. She was in search of the perfect gown to serve as the centerpiece of her ranch boho chic wedding theme. With a blush gown in her mind, she turned to us for help. Her dream dress was elevated with Ava’s Bridal Couture custom touches that we were so proud to have our thumbprint on.

THE DRESS

Heather came to us with a gown already purchased and a vision to transform the gown into something even more special. She eagerly met with our alterations team, discussing the type of dress she envisioned. This gown hit all the marks for the feminine details but still missing the blush pink aspect and low back that Heather so desired. It was a beautiful shade of champagne with gorgeous detail that made her feel spectacular. The bodice is beautifully ordained with crystals and beadwork that flow from the straps all the way down to the dropped waist bodice. The sweetheart neckline compliments the gown’s design, as well as Heather’s petite frame.

Because Ava’s Bridal Couture is a full-service bridal salon, alterations specialists are in-house and available to consult brides more easily. Our team recommended adding a blush pink underlay to the skirt of the gown. A few snips here and there allowed for the low back design Heather hoped for. It was an elegant incorporation to meet her needs, embrace the beautiful design of the gown, and customize something that was true to her personality. Heather immediately said yes to the suggestions, and the work began!

Throughout the alterations process, Heather became more and more excited to see the result. Each appointment built more anticipation and reaffirmed that she had made the perfect gown selection for her wedding day. On her last fitting appointment, she was overcome by emotion as she realized how special this dress was. It was a labor of love by Ava’s Bridal Couture alterations team, and something truly unique to Heather, which she will forever be grateful for.

WEDDING DETAILS

Heather and Hunter were married on October 21, 2017 at the Oak Water Ranch in Granbury, TX. This location was the perfect setting to start their life together and fit their wedding theme ten-fold. It was a gorgeous fall day filled with love, happiness, and a gorgeous spread of coordinating details. Planned and executed by Brandi Chapman from Make It Yours Event Planning, Heather said her ultimate vision was brought to life. All brides hope for a perfect day where everything goes right so they can truly enjoy the day. Heather said Brandi made her day especially wonderful, handling any last-minute details and questions, so that she could be blissfully unaware and focus on her love for Hunter and their new life journey together.

The wedding color palette was filled with rich burgundy, navy, and a touch of blush pink which tied in Heather’s custom gown. From the exquisite floral arrangements to the rustic outdoor seating, everything was perfect. Guests couldn’t get enough of the raspberry margaritas, photobooth, and dancing the night away on the outdoor dancefloor. Heather and Hunter gave their guests many things to talk about for months to come.
